I-75/Jonesboro Road construction status -- Updated 03/03/2009 In October 2008 the Department of Transportation began a three-year construction project on I-75 at Exit 233/Jonesboro Road/Rt 54. This construction may cause disruptions to people trying to reach the Archives. On this page we will keep you informed about progress and possible delays. In the County column, look under Clayton, and under Mile Marker, look under 234-232.
I-75/Jonesboro Road Construction Alternate Directions From I-75 (coming from the North) Take Interstate 75 South to Exit 237 (Forest Pkwy/SR 331). Merge onto Forest Pkwy. Travel approximately 3 miles to Jonesboro Road/SR 54. Turn right. Travel approximately 1.5 miles and the Archives will be on your left after you pass Harper Drive. Turn left into the front parking lot.
From I-75 (coming from the South) Take Interstate 75 North to Exit 231 (Mount Zion Blvd.) Turn right. Travel approximately 1.5 miles to Lake Harbin Road. Turn left onto Lake Harbin. Travel approximately 2 miles to SR 54 /Jonesboro Road, just over the railroad tracks. Turn right. The Archives is approximately 1 mile on the corner of Jonesboro Road (SR 54) and Clayton State Boulevard. After you pass Clayton State Boulevard, turn right into the parking lot. Parking is free.
From I-85 (coming from the North) Take Interstate 85 South through downtown Atlanta. Continue on I-75 after I-85 splits off. Take I-75 to Exit 237 (Forest Pkwy/SR 331). Merge onto Forest Pkwy. Travel approximately 3 miles to Jonesboro Road/SR 54. Turn right. Travel approximately 1.5 miles and the Archives will be on your left after you pass Harper Drive. Turn left into the front parking lot.
