Responsible government starts with a commitment to transparency and ethics.

Secretary Handel is increasing her commitment to transparency, ethics and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars by launching the Transparency in Government Initiative website, which allows citizens to view the following information:

• The Georgia Secretary of State’s Fiscal Year 2009 budget;
• Secretary Handel’s campaign and personal finance disclosures;
• The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office Ethics Policy.

The Secretary of State's Office will regularly update this site with expenditures so Georgians can see where their money is spent.
