The Georgia Secretary of State Ethics Policy establishes guidelines for workplace behavior, and helps employees avoid unethical actions that could undermine the public’s trust.
Secretary Handel revised the Ethics Policy to ensure her employees are maintaining the highest ethical standards. In addition to rules outlining proper workplace behavior, Secretary Handel added language forbidding employees from taking gifts from regulated entities; prohibiting nepotism; and barring former employees from consulting or lobbying activities with the Agency for a period of one year.
