Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its December 15 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology met on Monday, December 15, 2008.

The Board voted to uphold the citations against the following establishments:

• Asyamal Hair Studio, Morrow
• Creating Virtuous Images, Decatur
• Dynasty Total Look Salon, Decatur
• Expressions Etc Hair, Jackson
• Future Cuts II, Jonesboro
• Future Cuts Hair Design, Riverdale
• Heads Up Beauty & Barber, Decatur
• Heavenly Hair Beauty Academy, Savannah
• Definition of Hair, Stockbridge
• La Panache Salon & Day Spa, Griffin
• Nu Styles Hair & Nail, Ellenwood
• Professional Barber & Style Center, Stone Mountain
• Pucci’s Coiffeurs Beauty Salon, Decatur
• Stylistics Hair Salon, Decatur

The Board voted to uphold portions of the citation against the following establishment, while dismissing other portions:

• Hair Studio Beauty Salon, Stockbridge

The Board voted to reduce the fine levied against the following establishment:

• D’Ambience Hair & Day, Tucker

The Board voted to dismiss the citations against the following establishment:

• Bella Bloom Boutique, Peachtree City

The Board voted to close the case against the following establishments:

• Fantastic Sam’s, Thomaston
• Nail Studio Salon, Macon

The Board voted to grant continuances in the cases against the following establishments:

• Ruby Nail, Sandersville
• Studio Blu Salon, Griffin

The Board voted to suspend license of Latarsha M. Noland, Atlanta pursuant to request from the U.S. Department of Justice for nonpayment of federal education loan.

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
