Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its August 17 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology met on Monday, August 17, 2009.

The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments:

  • Carin Christa Bedar, Atlanta
  • Spa De Vie, Columbus
  • Dominican Touch, Fayetteville
  • Salon 2000, Milledgeville
  • The Grand Salon, Macon
  • Solar Nails, Moultrie
  • Deziner Cutz, Valdosta
  • Anointed Hair Gallery            , Wren

The Board voted to dismiss citations against the following individuals or establishments:

  • Northside Styles, Cleveland
  • The Annointed Touch, Douglas
  • Spa De Da, Douglas
  • Jonathan Bryant, Eastman
  • KeDe Bridge Salon, McDonough
  • A New Hope Beauty Salon, Warner Robins
  • Classic Nails, Warner Robins 
  • Salon Bella, Winder

The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments but reduce the fines:

  • O’Hara’s Village Salon, Savannah
  • Wayne Washington, Valdosta           
  • Lutar Beauty, Warner Robins

The Board voted to accept payment for fines resulting from citations against the following establishments:

  • Renaissance Nails, Suwanee
  • Tip N Toe, Swainsboro
  • The Hair Club, Warner Robins

The Board voted to grant continuances for hearings on citations against the following establishments:

  • Marvalous Hair & Nail, Brunswick
  • Shenanigan’s, Buford
  • The Salon at Kingswood, Clayton
  • B & J’s Styling, Thomson

The Board voted to uphold two citations against the following individual but to reduce the fine resulting from one of the citations:

  • Fannie Cobb, Eatonton

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
