Actions Taken by the Board of Cemeterians at its September 25 Meeting

Atlanta—The State Board of Cemeterians held its monthly meeting on September 25, 2007.

The Board voted to grant the Office of the Secretary of State the authority to close cases that do not warrant formal investigation without the approval of the Board and to allow the Office to respond to Open Records Requests within the allotted time frame of three days. The Board also reviewed advice from the Attorney General’s office relating to requests for interpretive opinions and directed the Office of the Secretary of State to respond accordingly.

The Board’s next meeting will be held on October 23, 2007.
