Actions Taken by the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission at its December 9 Meeting

Atlanta—The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission held its meeting Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Atlanta.

The Commission voted to approve advanced amateur rules with a six month probation period. The rules are effective December 31, 2008 and will be posted on the GAEC website at that time.

The Commission voted to approve the following:

• February 21, 2009: VMAC MMA event permit and promoter’s license.
• January 17, 2009 and March 7, 2009: Full Throttle Entertainment MMA event permits.

The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission will hold its next meeting Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Floyd Memorial Towers Suite 802 West Tower.
